Following the success with 6170 British Legion(rebuilt from high pressure locomotive Fury) Stanier decided to rebuild the standard Royal Scot fleet which were suffering from growing smokebox & cylinder problems.As the mileage climbed on the locomotives following overhaul, they became notoriously rough riders with the cab swaying from side to side at speed.This was thought to be a design fault for many years but late in their career it was realised that it was because of unbalanced wheels & coupling rods. As the locomotives were built from new different design coupling rods were used which gradually got swapped around between locomotives during repairs. Re-balancing of wheels & coupling rods helped to eliminate the problem.They were used for top link express work on the West coast mainline and North Wales route until dieselisation in the early 1960s.Most were withdrawn following replacement by diesels but a few lingered onto the mid 60s doing whatever work was available.Two locomotives(6100 & 6115)are preserved.

The Rebuilt Scots have recieved a major update.The mesh has been checked & updated & repaired where necessary.Some textures are new.Older textures have been tided up & updated.
Modifications to the Rebuilt Scot are -: Cab crew added, specular lighting added, updated & repaired mesh, new textures, a new livery & locomotives, smoke effect improved,
double sided textures eliminated except where necessary, cab doors added, tender now close coupled, new style smokebox door, small lamps, new style buffers, all nameplates replaced with the latest version.
