AVAILABLE FOR TRS2004 & TRS2006   This was a very small(for LMS standards) class of 40 locomotives & was the link between the first and second era of locomotive design on the LMS. Basically the Hughes Crab redesigned to more like what Stanier wanted. So few were built as the Stanier Black 5 quickly came along as an all new design leaving no need for further 2-6-0s. These locomotives were mainly used for nocturnal freight work but did also see the usual mixture of workings like the Black 5s as secondary work.
